Club Notes 11/02/10

U21 RESULT: Omagh St Enda's 3-06 Crosmaglen 0-07

Well done to the U21 team on their 3-06 to 0-7 victory over Crossmaglen in the Ulster Championship. They now play Burren from Down in the final next Sunday. The victory was marred, however, by a serious leg injury to our "young player of the year" Caolan McCrossan who is currently in the Royal Victoria Hospital receiving treatment. We wish him a speedy recovery.

ULSTER HERALD TEAM OF THE YEAR AWARD

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Are you registering your children at Youth Registration Day on Saturday or are you registering yourself at Club Registration Evening on Friday?

If you are could you please bring the Ulster Herald Sports Award voting slips from this weeks and last weeks papers. Could you also bring voting slips from any friends, relatives and neighbours. A big push is needed to ensure that our Minor Team win their FOURTH trophy of the year.

11/02/10 LOTTO RESULT

The numbers were 3, 4, 12, 17, and 28. Four winners of £25 each were C McCrory, M McLaughlin, Carmel McQuaid and R Kelly.

BINGO AND CLUB LOTTO

Bingo continues this Thursday at 9pm in Healy Park with £4000 in prize money including the usual £1000 house and two £500 houses and 17 other useful prizes. There is also a chance to win the £5000 top prize in the club lotto which is drawn at the bingo. Last weeks lotto winners were K Crilly, M Colgan, K Canavan and L Mullan with the numbers 3, 24, 26, 28, and 30.

OMAGH BINGO BUS

Please note that St Enda’s organise a free bingo bus to Healy Park every Thursday stopping at the following areas approximately: Townview Avenue Spar Shop (8.10pm), O’Kane Park (8.15pm), Tamlaght Road (8.20pm), Centra Brookmount Road (8.25pm), Pat Kirks (8.30pm) and finally Strathroy (8.40pm).

VICTORIA BRIDGE - CASTLEDERG- OMAGH BINGO BUS

There is also a free bingo bus which travels from Victoria Bridge (7.30pm) to Spamount (7.45pm), Castlederg (8pm) and Drumquin (8.20pm).

BALLYMAGORRY - STRABANE - NEWTOWNSTEWART BINGO BUS

Finally a free bus leaves Ballymagorry (7.30pm), travels to Bridge Street, Strabane (7.45pm), Sion Mills (7.50pm) and Main Street, Newtownstewart (8pm) and on to Healy Park.

Good luck to the U21 team who play Crossmaglen Rangers in the Ulster Championship semi-final at Creggan Kickhams in County Antrim at 2pm.

YOUTH REGISTRATION THIS SATURDAY

Youth registration for all children in the Omagh area wishing to take part in Gaelic Games will take place on Saturday 13th February from 10am–12noon at the Club Rooms in Healy Park. Go on give it a go, you know you want to!! Spread the word to all your friends. All our players are asked to come along and register.

U10, U12 GAME OFF

The U10 & U12 challenge game against the Mayo club has been cancelled until further notice.

SCOR SEMI-FINALS

Well done to all our Scor participants in the County Semi Final last Sunday. Representing St Enda’s in the county final are our Ceili and Set Dancers, our Ballad Group and Donna Taggart our Solo Singer. Best of luck to them all on Sunday 21st February.

MACRORY CUP

Well done to Omagh CBS and the Omagh players in the MacRory Cup victory against St Pat’s Maghera.

MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION DAY

Membership is now due and the club will be open on Friday night between 8.30-10.00pm for registration.

A Great night was had by all who attended the annual dinner dance.
Well done to Emma Nugent picking up Senior player of the year, Terri Mc Cullagh received Most Promising Senior Player of the Year.
Congratulations to Minor player of the year Hayley Ballard and Most Promising Minor Players of the year Jade O Kane, Hannah Mc Cullagh and Caiomhe Killoran.
A special thanks to Ciaran Mc Laughlin for his words of encouragement and support to Ladies football.
Youth registration for 2010 will be taking place on
Saturday 13th February from 10 am - noon in the clubrooms, looking forward to seeing you there and also welcoming new members along.
