Club Notes 27/05/10

PLEASE NOTE

Training for the Annual Cycle continues this Sunday at 10.30am. All welcome, regardless of ability as training will be provided. There is a meeting in the clubrooms on Friday night from 8.00pm for all those wishing to take part in hte cycle and those willing to help in other ways, barbeque, marshalling, water stops etc. Please tell people to make an additional effort to attend the meeting as we need all the help we can get.
Please note there are three charities benefiting from the cycle and we need as many volunteers as possible. We are going to train twice a week : Thursdays and Sundays at 7.00pm

Bingo continues at Healy Park this Thursday (tonight) with £4000 in prizemoney including the usual £1000 houses and two £500 houses.

There is also the chance to win the lotto jackpot of £5000 which is drawn at the bingo. Last weeks lotto winners’ were J McMahon, A McGillion, P Donnelly and Marie and Patsy with the numbers 1, 7, 20, 22 and 26.

Please note that St Enda’s organise a free bingo bus to Healy Park every Thursday stopping at the following areas in Omagh approximately: Townview Avenue Spar Shop (8.10pm), O’Kane Park (8.15pm), Tamlaght Road (8.20pm), Centra Brookmount Road (8.25pm), Pat Kirks (8.30pm) and finally Strathroy (8.40pm).

Well done to Tyrone Minors and Seniors on their victories last Sunday.

Could stewards report to Healy Park this Sunday at 4.30pm for the championship games please?

The U14 team play Galbally in the league semi-final on Saturday at 12pm at Errigal Ciarán. All support would be welcome.

Training for U6, U8 and U10 players continues at Healy Park this Saturday morning from 10.30am-12pm.

U12 boys’ football training is on Saturday morning from 10.30-12pm at the Brothers’ Park.

With summer approaching can all boys please remember to wear sun cream and bring their water bottle.

Hurling coaching for U10-12 players continues this evening (Thurs) in CBS Park from 6.30-7.45. Hurling coaching for U6-U8s in Healy Park on Saturday from10.30-12pm. Girls also welcome.

Senior training continues Tuesday and Thursday, all road lead to Killyclogher on Friday evening when the senior team lock horns with Badoney in the first round of the championship. All support greatly appreciated, throw in 6.30pm! Minor team travelled to Beragh on Saturday and picked up another two points. Vinny will contact all girls about training. The u14 team bowed out of the championship last Friday. The girls put in a massive effort and had the better of a determined Galbaly team, but just couldn't put them away. The girls then conceded a late goal and the victory went to Galbaly. We wish them the very best of luck in the rest if the competition. The girls regrouped and travelled to Pomeroy and picked up another three valueble points on Monday night. Lauren Hunter, Beth McEhatton and Niamh McKinney putting in strong displays. Stevie will be in touch with all players about training. u8, u10 and u12 training on Saturday morning 10.30am - 12.00pm every Saturday morning, all girls are very welcome. Please pass the word to all your friends. Massive fundraiser being organised, please watch press for further details. Congratulations Rory McBride on passing his driving test.

Hurling coaching for U6-U8s in Healy Park on Saturday from10.30-12pm. Anyone interested in completing a Hurling Foundation coaching course should contact D. McClements 07725351643. Girls also welcome.

Comedy Night will be held in the Clubrooms on Sat 22nd May in aid of the John McGirr fund. Tickets £10 and are available from the club.

Next Club meeting will be held on Monday 24th May at 8.00pm.
