Primary Schools Cup a great success

Congratulations to all the schools who took part in the inaugural Omagh Primary Schools Cup at Healy Park today, organised by St. Enda's. Nine schools from the district took part and there was a morning of action-packed games for both boys and girls.

Omagh Primary Schools Cup

The inaugural Omagh Primary Schools Cup competition will be held at Healy Park this Friday from 10am to 1pm.
Nine primary schools from the Omagh district will take part in the event which is being staged as part of the St. Enda's 'Hooley in Healy' celebrations over the Bank Holiday weekend. Four Cups will be presented to the various competitions winners in boys and girls football.

The schools taking part include Gortnagarn, Holy Family, Integrated, Tattyreagh, Tycur, Gaelscoil, St. Conors, Tattysallagh and Christ the King.

Everyone is welcome to come along to support.

Minors play Strabane

St. Enda's minors will play Strabane in the quarter-finals of the Championship, date to be confirmed. The full Quarter Final and Semi Finals draws were made tonight at a CCC meeting and are as follows:

Quarter Finals -

Coalisland v Edendork

Kildress v Ardboe

Clonoe or Carrickmore v Errigal Ciaran

Strabane v St. Enda's


Semi Finals -

1.Winner of Carrickmore/Clonoe/Errigal Ciaran v Winner of Strabane/Omagh

2.Winner of Coalisland/Edendork v Winner of Kildress/Ardboe

Hurling blitz

Second win for minors

MFL Grade 1 result - Omagh 3-11 Owen Roes 2-11

St Enda's minors recorded their second win in the league today with a one goal win over Owen Roes. The game ebbed and flowed for the first 20 minutes with scores from Pauric Murphy Diarmuid O'Doherty, Joe Colton, Mark McBride and Thomas Clarke.

Owen Roes with Cathal McShane prominent finished the first half stronger scoring 1-3 without reply to lead 1-5 to 0-6 at half time.

Omagh started the second half with a goal and two points from Joe Colton and goals and points from birthday boy Daniel Mullan, Thomas Clarke, Diarmuid O'Doherty, Caolan Gillespie, Diarmuid O'Doherty, Jude Campbell and Rion McKenna. Owen Roes kept tabs on them however with McShane converting 5 free kicks and and a goal with minutes remaining. Omagh held out for the last few minutes.
