Omagh District Council staged a Civic Reception for the St. Enda's U21 footballers on Monday evening in recognition of their success in winning the Ulster championship for 2011/2012.
Council Chairman Errol Thompson presented club chairman Seamus Hannigan with a Council plaque after paying tribute to the team and its managers for securing the title at the beginning of the year.
The chairman and fellow councillors Dr Josephine Deehan, Sean Clarke and Sorcha McAnespie, also praised St. Enda's for the work it does in the Omagh community and for playing a leading role in the development and well being of children and adults in the district.
St. Enda's chairman, Seamus, U21 manager Emmett Gallagher and Shane O'Neill, in turn thanked the chairman and the council for offering the Civic Reception and said it was a fitting tribute to the team and St. Enda's in general as we rounded off 2012. Councillor Thompson was presented with a limited edition 80th Anniversary vase by Seamus in appreciation of his generous gesture.
