Are you handy at DIY or do you have any left over paint lying around your home? This Saturday we need volunteers to assist with the construction and decoration of stalls for our Fun Day events next week as part of our Hooley in Healy weekend. If you can spare a couple of hours, why not come along to Healy Park from 9.30am to lend a hand. Contact David Tierney on 07742 242072 if you can help.
Also, we need volunteers to assist with stewarding and supervision duties, ticket sales and clean-up roles during next weeks four-day event, particularly during the Saturday Fun Day at St. Patrick's Park and the Whistlin Donkey's concert on the Sunday night. A pre-event meeting will be held next Wednesday but if anyone can assist please contact David in advance on 07742 242072.

All-Ireland champs - There is no doubting what the main story of the week is at St. Enda's with our Céilí dance team carrying off the All-Ireland title at the national Scór finals in Derry last Saturday. The success of Paul Breen, David Tierney, Orla Byrne, Vicky O'Neill, Leanne McCullagh, Damien Friel, Faelan Duffy and Michelle Mullin was a momentous occasion as the club affirmed its place at the top of the All-Ireland Scór leaderboard with a tenth Céilí dancing title to add to five other titles for Ballad Group (1987, 1990, 2008), Solo Singing (Caoileann McEnhill 2006), and Solo Dancing (Damian Turbitt 1973). Saturday's win was especially poignant coming as it did so shortly after the death of Damian who featured on many previous All-Ireland winning sides. A large number of St. Enda's supporters travelled to Derry to witness the occasion and the result certainly made up for last year's disappointment in Killarney. David Tierney, the club's Cultural Officer, now holds four All-Ireland titles, all won in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2013 while Damien Friel has three and Paul Breen and Orla Byrne two apiece. Leanne, Vicky and Michelle now have their first All-Ireland medal to show for their efforts.
